Open Source

An Annual Visual Arts Festival

Every October, Artspace New Haven presents a visual arts festival showcasing Connecticut artists, facilitating citywide collaborations, and bringing artists and communities together to catalyze new ways of learning, thinking, and being. The largest convening of visual artists in Connecticut, Open Source connects hundreds of artists with audiences across Greater New Haven and beyond.

In 2020, the festival moved online for COVID-19 and was reintroduced in 2021 as Open Source (formerly City-Wide Open Studios). This renaming honors our intentional expansion of the festival in solidarity with the City of New Haven Department of Arts, Culture and Tourism’s Cultural Equity Plan.
