OPEN SOURCE: Drop-in Performance Workshop: Last Chance For A Slow Dance with Kori Koolman

Join Artspace New Haven in its Open Source 2022 Art Festival: In Common Spaces for a program in its week-long series with artist/educator Kori Koolman in a movement workshop at The Spot! We will meet at Artspace and walk over together.
This workshop is designed to guide participants on a personal journey within various states of consciousness. Participants will dive into the self in order to find and expand the pool of one’s most authentic ideas and sensations through a variety of methods, including Method Acting, Butoh, and Qigong. We will explore somatically the Japanese concept of Ma (間). The term Ma can be interpreted as ‘negative space,’ ‘the space in between,’ or ‘emptiness full of possibilities.’ Participants should come ready to move. All abilities welcome.
Kori Koolman is a multidisciplinary artist and an art educator.
