OPEN SOURCE: Artspace Fall Exhibition Artist Conversation: Ilana Harris-Babou with Bergman & Salinas

October 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Artspace New Haven in its Open Source 2022 Art Festival: In Common Spaces for a program in its week-long series with Ilana Harris-Babou and artistic duo Bergman & Salinas (Aeron Bergman and Alejandra Salinas). The artists will join Artspace Director of Curatorial Affairs, Laurel V. McLaughlin, for a conversation moderated about their fall exhibitions. Ilana Harris-Babou: Revelations presents recent video installations, collages, and ceramics in an exploration of consumption, revelatory critique and humor, and alternative knowledge-building. Bergman & Salinas’s Against the General Good/ Contra el Bien General explores a new series of conceptual works including sculptures, wall-mounted mixed-media, photography, painting on canvas, sound, and text works that critique how systems of capitalism corral the commons, against the general good for humans and non-humans alike. This virtual free public program is held in conjunction with both fall exhibitions, on view, September 17–December 3, 2022. Please register using the Zoom link.
