Artist Statement

Artist Statement featured a collection of statements by artists with their names withheld until the show’s closing party on February 12, 1999.

The artist statement is a necessary component of the artist’s promotional packet often required for grant applications. For some, it is a tortuous writing assignment, for others it is an important and interesting exercise. Regardless, the statements represent the myriad of voices for artists.
