Inscribed Surfaces: On Transient Histories, with Dawit L. Petros
March 26, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
FreeWe welcome women of the Horn of Africa and West Africa with experience working with henna or interest in learning to join artist Dawit L. Petros for a closed workshop on March 26th from 10:00–5:00 PM. Participants will gather together to create henna recipes, commune with one another, and drink coffee while working with Dawit to create a new edition of drawings. The drawings reference modernist architecture from New Haven, migrations across the African Horn, and the possibilities of relational connection across time and history. We are looking for 6-10 participants to work with Dawit. Lunch will be provided and participants will be paid for their labor, $150.00.
Please register for the event using the RSVP button below. Artspace will follow-up with further information.
