Announcing new member of our Artspace Team

Artspace would like to welcome four new members of the Artspace team. From left to right:
Zeph Farmby is our new Artist-in-Residence. Born and raised in Chicago, Zeph is a multi-disciplined artist and art activist. He started his career as a graffiti artist, covering the city of Chicago with his visions. His world-renowned “Eat The Rich” painting, vast murals, teachings, and art on apparel extends his creativity to all walks of life; the message is usually anti-greed, anti-capitalism and/or anti-establishment focused.
Katherine Sullivan is this year’s City Wide Open Studios Festival Producer. She recently graduated from Southern CT State University with a Master in Fine Arts in Poetry and a Women’s Studies Graduate Certificate. She was the Librarian for the Nasty Women’s New Haven Exhibit where she created a chapbook and participated in presenting her poetry. She is excited to collaborate with a wide variety of artists within our community to highlight there many talents and to continue to develop community through artistic expression.
Peter Sparks is this year’s Technical Director for City-Wide Open Studios. Peter is a former corporate systems analyst who is still trying to recover from the experience. He considers his present line of work to be good therapy.
Marium Majid, our VISTA Youth & Schools Engagement Coordinator, graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Masters degree in Public Administration in May 2017. She has a passion for social justice, youth empowerment, community organizing, and especially the arts. She is excited to begin working with the Artspace team this upcoming month!
