Analog Call to the Masses

To anyone with old film gear collecting dust in their attics or basements…this message is for YOU!

Artspace is seeking temporary donations of 8mm and 16mm film equipment for use in its 19th annual Summer Apprenticeship Program, which runs July 8th – 26th. New Haven high school students will work with LA-based Echo Park Film Center to learn analog filmmaking techniques, culminating in a 24-minute collaborative film portrait of New Haven. The film will premiere in a public reception on July 26th as part of an exhibition that runs until September 14th. All are welcome!

ANY and ALL things film-related will be happily accepted, including: old projectors, cameras, splicers, film reels, editors, home movies, film loopers, tripods. Equipment will be returned at the end of the program.
