Joe Fekieta is a life-long New Haven artist and writer, currently residing in the Hill Neighborhood. He has a large vegetable garden, exercises and tap-dances every day. In his home studio, he creates complex series and thematic books with writing that comments, often humorously, about our contemporary American culture. In his back yard, he creates engaging and memorable installations that have been exhibited at City-Wide Open Studios for seven consecutive years. This year, his latest installation "Fat & Dangerous" at the Wilson Library, is a dramatic commentary about how obesity is contributing to global warming.
