I paint in oil and acrylic. I also make prints. My work is mostly figurative and emotionally provocative. While I am clearly interested in storytelling, I hope to make the work sufficiently mysterious that viewers will be inspired to develop their own stories about the images I also create abstract work most of which reflects my interest in science and contains scientific formulae
I have been working for several years in a print series entitled “Immigrant Stories.” Most of the pieces are made by printing multiple layers on top of each other. Colors become blended and enriched and images become less obvious. This lengthy process reflects the multiple layers of people’s lives and the many years it takes to make a complete biography. The photographic images are actually prints done in various ways, using my computer etching plates or lithographic processes.
