Virtual Reality Workshop with Nicholas Steindorf

Two sessions open to the public:
SESSION 1: 5:15-6:15pm
SESSION 2: 6:30-7:30pm
Join Brooklyn based artist Nicholas Steindorf for an evening of experimenting with painting in the third dimension. Using Oculus headsets and Tilt Brush software, Nicholas will be guide you in the creation of a unique work of art, using brush strokes, meshes, and light.  At the end of the workshop, your piece will be migrated into a game engine and included as a sublevel of one of the Virtual Reality works in the exhibition Strange Loops at Artspace.

About the Artist: Nicholas Steindorf is part of the collective, Virtual Dream Center, an ongoing artist-run virtual platform exploring video games as an artistic medium that expands upon concepts of exhibition or art-viewing contexts. The group collaboratively curates, designs, and operates Virtual Dream Center by working with artists and sharing files between Paris and Brooklyn, where the principal members live. Virtual Dream Center has launched nine free-to-download applications that presents open-play exhibition and writing opportunities to artists, architects, writers, and musicians.
