OPEN SOURCE: Drop-in Sculpture: Building as Social Construct with Faustin Adeniran

Join Artspace New Haven in its Open Source 2022 Art Festival: In Common Spaces for a program in its week-long series with Faustin Adeniran in a sculpture workshop to determine how found objects can reflect society at large. Participants will bring small-sized found materials to compile their compositions. Wood boards will be used as your canvas to construct upon. All other materials provided.

 

BIO:

Faustin Adeniran is a contemporary artist from Lagos, Nigeria working in New Haven, CT. For the past ten years, his work has been to re-imagine materials that would otherwise be considered trash or recyclable.

Through extensive historical research and deep observation of cultural trends, his work takes a critical view of social and political issues. Faustin’s art series reflect elements of the communities he encounters.

His vision is to encourage, educate, and inspire positive social impact through his artworks.
